Chatham House Climate and Energy Summit 2025: Accelerating the Energy Transition
Oaklin is a proud sponsor and an influencing contributor at the upcoming Chatham House Climate and Energy Summit 2025 on Tues 18th and Wednesday 19th March at the Royal Institute of International Affairs in the world-famous Grade II listed home in St. James Square, London. This conference will also be simultaneously broadcast on a live event virtual platform reaching more than 500 participants in 30 countries.
This annual conference brings together senior leaders from business, government, and civil society for two days of high-level discussions, networking, and roundtables under the Chatham House Rule. Together, they will explore strategies to drive ambition, action, and financial flows toward a more resilient future.

Accelerating the Energy Transition
Ben Parsons is a Partner and leads Oaklin’s energy practice. He will be a panellist on the “Accelerating the energy transition” session on Wed 19th March at 10am, chaired by Mike Hemsley, Deputy Director of the Energy Transitions Commission.
With nearly 15 years’ experience in consulting and board advisory, Ben has helped organisations navigate the Energy Transition, deliver Net Zero and shape the power system of the future.
During the panel session he will share his views and perspectives on:
- Is the current policy and investment environment aligned to triple the world’s installed renewable energy generation capacity to at least 11,000 GW by 2030?
- Is the refocusing on energy security and onshoring/friendshoring likely to help or hinder this acceleration?
- How should demand and supply side measures be balanced to double the global average annual rate of energy efficiency improvements to over 4% every year until 2030?
- What is the role of zero and low-emission technologies, including abatement and removal technologies in keeping warming to well below 2°C?
