90 Whitfield Street

We are delighted to announce that we have now moved to 90 Whitfield Street, W1T. This is an exciting moment for Oaklin; we continue to grow, and our new facilities will help us further support our clients and our team.

Office moves are usually an environmental travesty – perfectly good furniture and technology is thrown away to be replaced with brand new items.  It’s a cycle that is hard to break but we wanted to do better!

To align with our goal of sustainability and our aim to become a net-zero organisation, we used the principle of circularity as part of our office move. We thought carefully from day one about how we could re-use as much of our furniture and technology and as much of the previous tenant’s furniture and technology as we could, designing our office space to maximise this objective.

Where additional furniture was needed, we engaged with local companies to buy pristine second-hand furniture that would otherwise have been sent to landfill. Our AV supplier stated that this was the most environmentally friendly office move they have ever been involved with.

Every supplier we worked with was checked to ensure they met our sustainability expectations, including our cleaning company which uses only environmentally friendly and safe products. And we of course made sure that any rubbish we generated was disposed of by a sustainably-certified company.

Our new building’s management team share our environmental goals and are committed to maximising recycling. The building currently recycles an impressive 68% of all rubbish. They have an active sustainability community and we want to make sure we play our part in helping improve this even further.
